Food shopping

Yesterday was shopping day at Dos Mares and Mercadona, cost for the week..160 zl.(40 EU). They had almost everything at Carrefour but their selection of chicken was poor. However, their selection of beef was excellent. The beef in Spain is much better than in Poland.

The good news is the cold spell is almost over and we are returning to 17-19c for the next week with sunny skies. Tomorrow I will get up early and make the trip to Batteria, make the walk up to the guns and take pictures. Sunday, we may go to Aguilas because it is a main day of the festival with lots of parades. It will be a crowded affair with thousands of people in attendance.

Today being Friday, we had our last meeting for the week with Carmelo. We spent 2 1/2 hours together. When I told him I was going to Batteria tomorrow he said he would like to go with me. He will be at my house at 8:00 and we will go in his car. He knows the roads better so I can enjoy the scenery while he drives and we can have more time to practice our languages. Today he also brought us another 20 oranges of a different type and a bottle of olive oil. We really like him.

With the additional oranges Carmelo brought today Joan made fresh orange juice using the old style juicer.

(40 EU).

Będzie to tłumne wydarzenie z udziałem tysięcy ludzi.

Będzie w moim domu o 8:00, a my pojedziemy jego samochodem. Zna lepiej drogi, dzięki czemu mogę cieszyć się scenerią podczas jazdy i możemy mieć więcej czasu na ćwiczenie naszych języków. Dziś przyniósł nam także 20 różnych rodzajów pomarańczy i butelkę oliwy z oliwek. Naprawdę go lubimy.

Wraz z dodatkowymi pomarańczami, które Carmelo przyniósł dzisiaj, Joan zrobiła świeży sok pomarańczowy, używając starej sokowirówki.
