Czocha 2

I woke up early at 06:15 and decided to go out and take some pictures while Joan was sleeping. It just so happened that a film crew was making a video of Czocha using a drone and the didn't want people walking around while the actors were working. Ii was interesting to see how the drone works with it's operator, a film director and actors. It took an hour for them to get the shots they wanted and then I was permitted to move and take my own pictures, When I was done I went to get Joan and we went downstairs for breakfast, included in thee room price.

The first dining hall was filled with people and we were taken to a second, smaller, dining room where we had scrambled eggs, sausages, tomatoes, cottage cheese, ham, fresh rolls, butter and coffee, It was good and the room was beautiful.

At 12:00 they gave us a new room on the second floor so I moved our luggage, then went downstairs to buy tickets for the tour of the castle and torture chamber.

The castle tour lasted about 45 minutes and was a tremendous challenge for Joan because of stairs leading to the underground. Even for me they were difficult with many winding, narrow stairs, nothing to hold on to and low ceilings. However, she made them all without incident, What a miracle! We saw the great hall, the library. the master bedroom and bath, a few rooms underground including  the roon where the secret code of the Germans was deciphered. I thought we would see more of the old rooms.

The Torture Chamber was 4 rooms of pre-recorded information and some reproductions of different instruments used, It isn't worth the time to visit. This castle, while beautiful, doesn't show you enough of itself, in my opinion. So many rooms are unavailable to the public and I think the underground tunnels could make it even more interesting,

Later in the evening we had dinner in the main dining hall and both of our dinners were good.

Godzinę zajęło im zrobienie zdjęć, jakie chcieli i wtedy pozwolono mi podejść i zrobić własne zdjęcia.

powodu schodów prowadzących do podziemia.

Później wieczorem jedliśmy kolację w głównej jadalni i oba dania były dobre.
