Quiet-surprise.

Another quiet day around the ranch. Only three conversations, two in Polish and one in Spanish. I shouldn't have been surprised about how much I forgot in Spanish since it's been two weeks since we did any studying. Thankfully, the Polish conversations were better and I didn't feel like a complete idiot.

I received a surprise call from Kalina Oliniczak, a radio announcer from International Radio in Warsaw. She wants to do a radio interview with Joan and I and asked if we would meet with her next Tuesday at 1:00PM in Poznań. The interview will take place in Radio Mercury. It's like the interview we did last year, about our story of moving to Poland, why we did it, how we like it here, etc. This time it will be broadcast from the radio station in Warsaw. She was given our phone number by Maciej Ka, the Poznań radio announcer who did the interview last year.

A few more Christmas cards trickled in with the mail today even though they were mailed inside Poland before Christmas. Postal service is still one thing that needs to be revised or updated. It is amazing that I can get a letter from the U.S. in 5-7 days but from inside Poland it can take a few weeks.

    Hi...
I think it is so wonderful that you get to tell your story..especially on radio so other people can hear about it and enjoy it!! I love hearing about your adventures, even though I don't always comment--know that I am reading your blog and FB! I have been working on my family books on these cold, cold days we have been having! I sure do enjoy going over all your "findings" over and over. I find something new each time. Thank you so much for sharing all your "findings"...I love sharing all the things I have..pics, etc. Just now watching all the horrible things going on in the Paris hostage situation---HOW HORRIBLE!!Love and Hugs, Marilyn
