Pora roku

I was thinking about colors today on the way home from Kandulski's, how they relate to the seasons. Now our golden rod is changing from green to yellow/gold, a sure sign that autumn is not far off.  Also the chicory is blossoming to a nice light blue color. Of course, everything is green although a few trees have shown a little changing color of their leaves.

Winter, if we are lucky brings the color of white to everything and the world seems more peaceful although it is anything but peaceful in many places. This color of white has different shades to it and sometimes in the mornings after a snowfall, it crystalizes on the trees making a winter wonderland. Snow time in Michigan was always a joy because we didn't have to go anywhere everyday so it didn't matter how much it snowed. In Poland it doesn't matter much either although we have never seen the quantity of snow here that we had in Michigan.

Naturally, ending winter is always nice and the sight of the first green things in the Spring makes you hopeful it will come soon. Spring is a series of many colors in flowers, plants, trees, etc.  The yellow fields of rapeseed are the most impressive in their beauty and the fields of lavender that are on the way to our flat.

Summer comes with the full blossoming of flowers, most evident in the botanical gardens, that's why we always make a trip to view what has been added.
