Candles.

As you know, Polish cemeteries are filled with flowers and candles.  The traditional candle has been around forever and now it is being challenged by something new, a battery operated light that is suppose to reflect the light like in a candle holder.  This "candle" is reusable, has easy battery replacement of 2-C batteries, it's weatherproof and has an on and off switch.  While the traditional candle lasts for about 3 days, this one will last for 50 days before the batteries are dead.  Cost of the traditional candle is 2-3zl, the battery operated candle is 8zl.  Now they have even gone further with this idea with a new one that turns itself on and off according the light of the day.  When it reaches a certain darkness, the light comes on automatically. Whether or not these new "candles" are accepted by the general public remains to be seen.  I'll try the ones I bought and see what I think about them.
