Resting!

Just recuperating from yesterday and preparing for our Anniversary tomorrow. I went to the post office to mail a letter and am still amazed at the lack of customer service. There is a glass pane between the clerk and the customer with a thin slit in it. It prevents you from hearing what the clerk says and her/him from hearing what you are saying so you have to raise your voice in order to be heard. It seems so dumb to have the glass in place. It would be so much easier to communicate without it.

Poszedłem do urzędu pocztowego by wysłać list i jestem jeszcze zdumiony przy braku obsługi klientów.

  1. I knew that a post card or letter cost 3.20 PLN to send by airmail to the U.S. I went to a post office in Torun with 5.2 PLN and the clerk refused to provide airmail stamp! This didn't surprise me. Every once in awhile we run into problems like that. It wasn't worth an argument!
